Plans
So what are my plans for playraider? Well I am thinking of mergeing PlayRaider and NTL, what do you think? The 3DS will be my priority until then. A preview is coming of some games and the system! Also I recently got AC: WW it truly rocks. Let me know if you want to meet up! In fact I think this is going to be the last week of PlayRaider. I hope to have a few 3DS bits on though in this week! But if not... THANK YOU! When I go all PR stuff will be archived to NTL. That begins today. PR will never be deleted but from 31/07/2010 at 00:00 it will no longer be updated. Once again, THANK YOU to ALL you great guys. Check out NTL for further gaming stuff!
Goodbye!

When I get it (April/holiday kinda time) then if those are the colours (there's also a red one to be shown in a video) I'm getting the blue and black one! It's so much cooler! See you soon for vids and CP!

The Luma Part 1. Look out for part 2. Something big is going to happen... Something heart breaking...

SMG2 Special
Here is episode two. You may have noticed the theme tune has changed... The old one sounded like random buzzes to me. I have decided to rename it Flash Hill Zone. This is a slight remix again using Audacity. It is also now called GameZone. It sounds cooler than news. Don't forget to read my SMG2 review. Episode 3 will either come on Tuesday or earlier if there is some huge news. See you then!
Super Mario Galaxy 2: The Moment You've All Been Waiting For
So... Here it is, the review. We seem to have come so far, a 60 second trailer... to what I think, is the most legendary game ever. Yet every time there is a big game it WILL get a high review score. But what G2 has done is not just good, they have upped the bar for games!
When I say this I believe you have played the original game. This was a huge step yet can a sequel better this? When I play I just feel like I'm playing the old game, it is full of new content but I just don't feel it... Another thing is the higher difficulty. This was a lacking thing in the old game though I had to give up a good 7-8 hours to finish this!
The hub is now Starship Mario that is connected to the Map Screen! It is owned by an morbidly obese Luma called Lubba. You can take Yoshi for a walk on the Ship, just for fun!
Yoshis return is landmark. He has some new power ups too:
Mario also has all the oldies and some new too! It may not have as much impact as SMG but it's still great
Summary:
The best game I have ever played. With 3DS and this this is shaping up to be a good year in gaming. A must have.

Well I said I had something special for you! So here is episode 1 of PlayRa!der news! It should be at least monthly! I can't wait for episode 2! If your wondering what the rock music in the titles, credits and E3 specials remix is it's my remix of the STH4 music throughout the rest! I call it Splash Hill Zone Rock Space Remix. It was remixed using Audacity!

Doctor Who: The Adventue Games Review
This is both review 1 & 2 combined as I have played it using boot camp on a Mac Pro! If you are having trouble running it try the help section for games, coming soon to PlayRaider!
It has to be realised, Doctor Who should have become a game years ago. It is just perfect! Yet what they have done cannot reach the mark.
The game play ranges between puzzle and stealth. If you get scanned by a Dalek you die instantly. There are also several puzzels scattered throughout the game.
Yet the BBC seem to have fallen foul of their own ambition. They advertise the games as free downloads but you have to pay ££££ for a system capable to run it's high graphics at a sufficient speed. Even a Mac Pro quad core running boot camp felt slow and sluggish.
Overview:
A good game but sadly falls foul of it's own abition, game breaking. Let's hope the Wii and DS will be up to more!

Mission

Party
This is the new look command room! Finished at last. We will have to report for duty on 15/06/10. I think this will unlock a new mode on our spy phone, what do you think? I love making up missions with my buddies!
In fact, why don't we have an NTL mission. I will hide somewhere on the island and if you find me I will add you. Once I am found I will move to a new spot. I will be at 15:00 on Saturday GMT and later at 16:30 on Monday GMT! It will be on Mukluk. When you have found me walk up to me and say the password (announced on Saturday!) A few of my mates might be coming and expect a mission victory party for all that found me! If you find me I will be your buddy so my iggy will not be on the map! I hope to see you then!
In other news my membership is about to expire. It should be renewed soon though! Though please don't be surprised if I'm in nonmember gear at my duo of partys! See you soon!

Super Mario Galay 2 Preview
Brilliant. Simply brilliant! The game begins and you fall in love. It is just like any other 3D Mario game. One of the best things is the introducton of Yoshi. He brings with him 3 new power ups, the Blimp Fruit, Bulb Berry and Dash Pepper. The Blimp Fruit inflates Yoshi and makes him float for a limited time, the air runs out VERY quickly though! The Bulb Berry turns Yoshi into a light source that reveals hidden platforms! The Dash Pepper causes Yoshi to go much faster and be able to climb much steeper paths though if he hits a obstical then he falls to his death!
Mario also has a few new power ups too. He has the Cloud Mushroom that gives him 3 clouds. If you shake the remote a cloud becomes a platform for a limited time. You can collect another Mushroom to recharge back to 3 clouds! He also has Rock Mario that turns him into a rock bowling ball when the remote is shaken. All the old power ups return also! Rainbow Mario now has a new running animation too!
The many new levels are brilliant too. Some are based on old ones but still feel new! The boss battles you have to do again sometimes though :(
The hub is now Starship Mario that is connected to the Map Screen! It is owned by an morbidly obese Luma called Lubba. You can take Yoshi for a walk on the Ship, just for fun!
Overview:
Exels over the original Galaxy in every way and could well be the best game EVER!
*****
Look out for the review! Also PlayRa!der is reciving some tech problems so there may be a lack of posts for a while. All important news though will be posted to NTL: http://nottoolikely.blogspot.com/

Sonic Colours
The latest Sonic game is set in an intergalactic theme park run by
Eggman. Eggman is using the powers of the wisps evilly though so it is
up to Sonic the Hedgehog to save them. Tails will travel with him as
the different coloured wisps give them different abbilities! I think
it takes guts for Sega to release a Sonic game in space so soon before
the release of Galaxy 2. The gameplay is a mix of 2D and 3D. It is
expecting release in Q4 2010. Check out the June/July issue of ONM for
more info!

Bit Trip RUUUUuuuner!
Here's my review!:
It's brilliant. I love it. The idea is to collect points and power ups
while avoiding obsicals. If you hit an obsticle you will fly straight
back to the beggining. That's the frustrating bit about bt, it's
flippin' hard! But over all a great game with beautiful graf-x. But
somehow I have forgotten to mention the great soundtrack, the reason I
bought this game. Runner has a brand new chip tune soundtrack, just
like the 8 bit wonders you have been used to!
Overall this is a fun game with only some minor design flaws: 92%

BTR Preview
Here is my preview of Bit Trip. Runner
This is shaping up to be a good game. The idea is that you avoid enimies and collect 'notes'. It has a simply brilliant chip tune soundtrack that makes this game one to watch. To jump you press 2 and to duck you press 1. There are no other controls so Commander Video will keep on running! As usual in a Bit Trip. game it gets VERY hard VERY quickly. Lukily it isn't as bad as a certain Mega Man so does not break the game. The enviroments start 2D and flat but soon open up to rich 3D enviroments.
This is the forth Bit Trip. game but this keeps the same BT. formula, is there anything new? Lukily BT. cannot die. It's like Mario, it doesn't matter how low or how samey it is the fans still love it!
So to conclude...
A great game with a great soundtrack. Bit Trip. will not die. I can't wait to download this on Friday. Look forward to my review!

WarioWare DIY Review
Here's number 1 in my new collection of game and software reviews!
Can you call this lazy? As Nintendo want us to make our own games it
must be. But it's still fun, surely this makes it a good game?
There are plenty of tutorials to go through that will give you an in
depth view of game making, lukily this isn't a bore. You are shown the
ropes by the grand daughter of the inventor of the game maker, Penny.
She takes you and Wario through graphics, music and AI. It feels like
a three way conversation that you are really involved in.
It also includes over 100 pre made games made using the game maker
just to show how versatile it is. Games can be shared locally or
globaly. They can also be sent to a wii in WarioWare DIY Showcase, a
brilliant game in it's own!
This game is a near perfect must have for any DS owner who wished they
could make their own games.
