What are star bits?
Star bits are pieces of stars scattered accross the universe. You can use them to feed a hungry Luma or to shoot at an enemy.
What controls do I use?
The main control is the analoge stick. If you move it one way, Mario will go that way. It can be moved in any direction rather than 4 in the digital pad (+ pad.) If you pull it gently Mario will walk slowly and if you pull harder he will go quickly. Another important control is the A and B buttons. A will make Mario jump and B will fire a star bit. There are lots of trick jumps to find out for your self from triple jumps to the long jump. There is one last vital control though, the camera! The camera is controlled using the digital pad. Which ever of the four ways you select the camera angle will move that way. This is useful for locating hidden objects!
